“It was a miraculous escape for the 25-year-old commuter as he almost slipped into the gap between the train and the platform before being pulled over by the RPF staff,” Central Railway chief spokesperson Shivaji Sutar,
The commuter has been identified as resident Ankit Sharma. Borivali WestHe told that he was at Wadala railway station in the afternoon when he tried to board the moving train at platform number one.
Sutar said, “RPF personnel Netrapal Singh dragged him as soon as he fell down. After the incident the victim was in shock and after sometime when she was back to normal, she thanked our RPF staff for saving her life.”
Central Railway will honor RPF constable.
