BJP has declared Draupadi Murmu as its presidential candidate. At the same time, UPA has made Yashwant Sinha its candidate. Draupadi Murmu, the former governor of Jharkhand and Odisha’s Draupadi Murmu, will be the country’s first tribal woman president if she wins the election. By choosing the name of a tribal woman, the BJP has increased the concern of other opposition parties by moving away from the UPA.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Andhra Pradesh’s YSR Congress Party have given open support to Draupadi Murmu, but what can SP and BSP do about Murmu? What is the vote value of all the parties in UP? Let’s know…

In 2017 SP-BSP supported Ramnath Kovind

In the year 2017, Kovind defeated Meira Kumar by 3 lakh 34 thousand votes.

In the year 2017, Kovind defeated Meira Kumar by 3 lakh 34 thousand votes.

In 2017, the BJP had increased the tension of the opposition parties by announcing the appointment of Dalit face Ram Nath Kovind as the President. However, the UPA had also fielded a Dalit face in the form of Meira Kumari. Because of Kovind’s Kanpur connection, SP and BSP supported him. This time too, all eyes are on the final decision of these two parties.

Akhilesh has promised support to Mamta
UPA’s candidate Yashwant Sinha is a leader of Trinamool Congress. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta has declared him as the Presidential candidate. 13 opposition parties of the country have given their support. Akhilesh and Mamta are supporters of each other, so the SP has already announced to support the Trinamool candidate. However, what will Akhilesh do at the last moment? There is still doubt on this matter. At the same time, BSP is the opposition party of SP and it has nothing much to do with Trinamool Congress, so BSP can go with BJP.

The number of MLAs of the SP alliance reached 125
After the 2017 UP assembly elections, the NDA had around 325 MLAs. At the same time, the SP-Congress alliance had 47 MLAs and the BSP 19. In the UP elections 2022, the number of NDA MLAs in UP has come down to 273. The SP alliance has 125 MLAs and the BSP has one MLA. At the same time, SP has 3 and BSP also has 10 MPs.

The vote of one MLA of UP is equal to 208 votes, the President is elected by the members of Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and Vidhan Sabha together. The value of the vote of the members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha is one and that of the members of the Legislative Assembly is different. It is decided on the basis of the population of the state. The population of UP is the largest, so the value of one MLA’s vote is equal to 208 votes.

Yashwant Sinha from UPA and Draupadi Murmu from NDA are the presidential candidates. The last date for nominations is June 29.

In this way, the value of votes of 125 MLAs of SP alliance is 26 thousand. At the same time, the vote value of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha MPs is 700. NDA is falling short of 13 thousand votes to make Murmu the President. However, this shortcoming can be filled only with the support of Biju Janata Dal.

Now we talked about SP and BSP, now all the parties of UP know the vote value of the members of Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and Vidhan Sabha through 3 graphics…
