Engineer by profession and Comedian by nature
In a phone conversation from Mumbai, Rohit Sharma says, “My father is a comedy poet and mother is a housewife. Since childhood, I like happy atmosphere. It was nice to laugh and laugh. Tells jokes among friends. Makes everyone laugh by copying people. After finishing schooling, he went to college for engineering. There I would conduct the stage in most of the programs. However, till then never thought that one day I would leave a good job and a hefty salary and choose my career only to make people laugh. Got a job after completing engineering studies. When the salary started getting better, then the car of the family also started running on the track. Got married too.

Rohit Sharma says that along with the job, I started going to comedy conventions as a hobby. Slowly I started getting calls from the conference. For a few days, both passion and profession kept going together, but when the offers of the show started increasing and the leave was not available. My heart wanted me to choose my passion, but my mind was giving priority to the job by thinking about the responsibility of the family. The kink between heart and mind was not getting resolved.

Wife said – don’t give up passion just to run the house.
When I told the family about leaving the job and doing the show, there was a mourning atmosphere in the house. Papa said – are you crazy? I have done shows all my life. Shows sometimes meet, but sometimes the expenses of the house do not run with the money coming. I could not think of anything seeing the atmosphere of the house. At that time wife became my courage. He said that if your passion is to make people laugh and by doing so you get happiness, then follow your passion. If you are afraid that how the house will run, don’t worry about it, I will work and run the house. Don’t give up your passion just to run the household.

Friendship with passion and design with job
Rohit Sharma explains that the woman … means ‘M’ to Mamta, ‘H’ to ‘Him’ and ‘L’ to Shame. At that time I understood the true meaning of the word woman. I got involved and started doing full time shows. Started doing shows without Papa’s help. Some time had passed that Kovid-19 had arrived. The whole world packed into the house. Shows closed. Wife was pregnant. All sources of income came to a standstill. Once upon a time it seemed that maybe I had taken the wrong decision. However, with time everything went well. When the havoc of the epidemic subsided, the work also started.

In this way, India’s laughter reached the champion, going through a period of ups and downs. So far, I have attended many Mushaira-Kavi Sammelans, but this show is getting a different identity. Let us tell you that Shekhar Suman and Archana Puran Singh are judging this Sony TV show.

Love marriage or arranged marriage?
Rohit Sharma jokingly replies, My marriage is the hard work of the family. Wife is an accountant by profession. Perhaps that is why his calculation of maintaining love, happiness and peace in the house is also tremendous. The biggest challenge for an artist is balancing work life and personal life. There is no time to return after leaving home. Even being at home, he is not with the family members. I am preparing the content. In such a situation, it is very important to be supportive of the family members. I am a little lucky in this matter. At present there are four and a half people in the family. Mother and father, we are husband and wife and two year old daughter. Wife takes care of everything. Rohit laughs and says I think his calculations were messed up, which he chose me and he thinks he has hit the masterstroke. It is only in this happiness that the family remains happy.
