Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani: Karan Johar Drops Ranveer-Alia’s Goofy BTS Video

Mumbai: Filmmaker Karan Johar on Sunday shared the bloopers of the song ‘What Jhumka’ from Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh’s romantic-comedy film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. Karan posted a funny BTS video on Instagram. Sharing the video, he wrote, “Jhumkas, thumkas, laughs, bloopers and much more – all right here!!! #whatjhumka song just released so show us your moves too!!!”

In the video, Ranveer is seen spreading his energy on the set and having fun with Alia and Karan. But Alia’s laughter at Ranveer’s antics caught the attention. In one of the clips, the ‘Ram-Leela’ actor can be seen having fun during his dubbing session.

Recently, the makers released the second track ‘What Jhumka’ from the film. Sung by Arijit Singh and Jonita Gandhi, the song is penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and features Ranveer and Alia.

The song also had a few lines from the iconic track ‘Jhumka Gira Re Bareilly Ke Bazar Mein’. The film starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi is set to hit the theaters on July 28.
The trailer took us into the lives of Rocky Randhawa and Rani Chatterjee, who have diametrically opposite lifestyles. While Rocky is a Punjabi boy from a wealthy Punjabi family, Rani comes from a Bengali family where knowledge and intellect are valued above all else. And they fall in love but soon the couple realize that their families do not like each other. Rocky and Rani then decide to ‘switch’ and live with each other’s families to impress them.

‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Love Story’ promises to be a complete, big screen entertainer that blends Johar’s storytelling prowess with an impressive ensemble cast, grandeur and music. There were many scenes of romance and fighting between the two, celebrating all kinds of festivals with their families and possibly even marriage.

‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ marks Karan’s return to the director’s chair after more than six years. The film is Ranveer and Alia’s second collaboration after their hit film ‘Gully Boy’. Also, Karan announced a next project in collaboration with Vicky Kaushal.
