R Madhavan as Nambi Narayan brings to screen the life of a former Indian Space Research Organization scientist and aerospace engineer. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect hit theaters on July 1 and garnered rave reviews from fans and critics alike. However, the film had a slow opening at the box office. The film was released on limited screens and only in metros. It clashed with Aditya Roy Kapur’s action film ‘Rashtra Kavach Om’ at the box office.

Box office experts predict that R Madhavan’s Rocketry may give a chance to beat Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjana Sanghi’s Rashtra Kavach Om. Reportedly, on the first day Rocketry collected around Rs. 75 lakhs.

The film was released on 1 July 2022 in six languages ​​across the world including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The first trailer of the biopic was launched on 1 April. It was displayed on the NASDAQ billboard in New York’s Times Square. The film was also screened at the Cannes Film Market. Reacting to the rousing reception the film received at Cannes, actor-turned-director R Madhavan said, “I am overwhelmed and excited. This is a real moment for all of us at Team Rocketry! Staged on a massive scale, the film has been shot in India, France, Canada, Georgia and Serbia. Rocketry is produced by Tiranga Films, Verghese Mulan Pictures and 27th Investments. The film is being distributed in India by UFO Movies and Red Giant Movies and will be distributed internationally by Yash Raj Films and Fars Film Company.
