Cash and jewelery worth Rs 2.4 crore were stolen from a house on Amrita Shergill Marg in Delhi. Sonam’s father-in-law Harish Ahuja, mother-in-law Priya Ahuja and Anand’s grandmother Sarla Ahuja live in the apartment.

Sonam’s mother-in-law has lodged a complaint with Tughlaq Road police station and her staff is being questioned in the matter. It is said that Delhi Police is interrogating 25 employees, 9 caretakers, driver, gardener and other employees in the case.

Not only Delhi Police, FSL is also involved in collecting evidence from the crime scene. Being a high profile case, it was kept under cover and if reports are to be believed, the robbery took place in February. According to the complaint, Sarla Ahuja claimed that she came to know about the theft on February 11 when she checked her wardrobe for jewelery and cash. She did her jewelery check for the last time 2 years ago. The complaint was made on 23 February.

Meanwhile, Sonam, who is expecting her first child with Anand, is in Mumbai. The couple announced the good news in an Instagram post on March 21. Along with some of the images, she wrote, “Four hands. To lift you up the best we can. Two hearts. It will beat together with you every step of the way. One family. Who will shower you with love and support. We welcome you.” Can’t wait to do more.

Sonam and Anand were married in a traditional way in Mumbai in the year 2018. On the work front, Sonam has a crime thriller Blind in the pipeline.
