Kashmiri Pandits hold a candlelight protest on Wednesday against the killing of three people, including pharmacist ML Bindu, by terrorists at Ghanta Ghar in Srinagar.

Srinagar Mayor Junaid Mattoo on Wednesday said a street in Srinagar would be named after the pharmacy owner Makhan Lal Bindu, who was gunned down by terrorists.

Bindu was murdered at his pharmacy Bindu Medicare on Tuesday evening in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.

“The road from Haft Chinar Chowk to Jahangir Chowk (where Bindru Medicare is located) will be named Shaheed Makhan Lal Bindru Road as a tribute to his contribution to the society,” Mattoo said in a tweet.

He said that a proposal to this effect would be formally proposed in the Srinagar Municipal Corporation General Council.

Bindru was one of three civilians killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir within an hour on Tuesday.
