Rising Bharat 2024: Vedang Raina Sings Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone’s ‘Lal Ishq’ LIVE | Video – News18

On the second day of CNN News18’s Rising Bharat Summit, a panel of rising Bollywood stars like Alizeh Agnihotri, Vedang Raina, Rajveer Deol and Palak Tiwari took the stage to discuss their aspirations and journeys in films so far. However, in one segment of the talk, they discussed what alternate profession they would pick if they weren’t actors. Vedang said that he would be a singer. He even performed live at the event.

Vedang said that in his student days, he would make music and he still plays the guitar. As such, he was requested to sing a few lines from a song of his choosing. Vedang said, “School aur college main maine bohot gaana gaaya hai aur guitar bajaya hai.” He then performed Lal Ishq from Ranveer and Deepika’s song Ram Leela.

Speaking about how he got into acting, Vedang said, “Aise bachpan se plan nahi tha ki main filmo main kaam karoonga, actor banoonga. Yeh college main aise ek chaska chadha first-year main ki modelling main try karta hoon. Main usse pehle ek singer tha toh main music banata tha aur guitar bajata hoon. It started like that and then eventually I started auditioning.”

Earlier this month, Vedang Raina won the award for Best Debut (Male) for his performance in The Archies at News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2024. He played the role of Reggie in Zoya Akhtar’s adaptation of the popular comic. Vedang made his debut alongside Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda and Yuvraj Menda. His performance was appreciated by the audience and the critics alike.

He will next be seen in Jigra with Alia Bhatt. Jigra is directed by Vasan Bala and is co-produced by Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt. The film is said to be about the bond between a brother and a sister. Vedang is said to be playing Alia’s younger brother in the film.
