Rajveer Deol said that you don’t paint the Monalisa again.

Rajveer Deol declined to say Sunny, Bobby or Dharmendra’s dialogues at the Rising Bharat Summit 2024.

On the second day of CNN News18’s Rising Bharat Summit, a panel of rising Bollywood stars Alizeh Agnihotri, Vedang Raina, Rajveer Deol and Palak Tiwari took the stage to discuss their aspirations and journeys in films so far. Rajveer was asked to say a dialogue of his father or grandfather, but the actor politely declined.

Rajveer Deol is the son of Sunny Deol and grandson of Dharmendra. His uncle is the popular Bobby Deol. Looking at how 2023 was the ‘Year of the Deols’, Karan Deol was asked to say any dialogue of his popular family members. However, he refused to do “out of respect” for them.

Rajveer said, “Good thing about movies is that you can rewind it and play it any time. So, their dialogues as well. You don’t want to paint the Monalisa again. So, out of respect for my father, grandfather, my chacha, I will not say the dialogue.”

Rajveer Deol made his acting debut last year with the film Dono. The film also marked the directorial debut of Sooraj R Barjatya’s son Avnish S Barjatya and veteran actress daughter Poonam Dhillon’s daughter Paloma also made her debut in the film.

Earlier, in a conversation with India Today, Rajveer shared, “Dad’s happy. I don’t think I ever had a conversation with him about becoming an actor. I think he always just knew that I would take this route. They were happy. My dad was relieved. He told Avnish (Barjatya) ‘My son can act.’”

The debutant actor also got candid about the pressure of belonging to an acting family with legends like Dharmendra as well as Bobby Deol, Abhay Deol, “The one thing that relaxed me was that I should not try to be my dad, my Dada, or Chachas. Having an individual stamp on this industry takes its time, but I shouldn’t be pressured by all the greats that have come from my family,” he had told the publication.
