After the match, Pant said, “It can be a little disappointing, but there are a lot of positives, especially the way the whole team showed character for us from 0-2 down after the series, that was a huge positive.”
Pant reiterated India’s new mindset playing T20I cricket, where batsmen would hit the ball harder than word, and is bent on giving his best as a captain as well as a middle-order batsman.
“We are trying to find different ways to win matches. We are trying to play in a new way. There will be mistakes, but we are on the right track. I just give my 100% as a player and captain I can think of giving.” It is for you guys to decide how I am performing as a player and as a captain, I can focus on giving my 100% on the field every time and keep improving.”
Pant could not win the toss even once in the series, which did not matter to him. But the youngster’s eyes are now set on the Edgbaston Test between July 1-5 and his better performance with the bat.
“I think it’s the first time I’ve lost so many tosses at the same time, but it’s not in my control, so I’m not thinking much about it.
