RIP Nattu Kaka: Taarak Mehta’s Tappu aka Raj Anadkat shares an emotional post for Ghanshyam Nayak

MumbaiTV star Raj Anadkat, who played the role of Tapu in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, shared a heartfelt post to remember his co-star Ghanshyam Nayak. The senior actor passed away on Sunday (October 3) at a hospital in Mallad. He was best known for his portrayal of Nattu Kaka in the hit sitcom that aired on Sony SAB.

Raj got emotional while writing his thoughts about his co-star. He shared a photo with Nayak on Instagram along with a note. Both can be seen smiling while posing for the camera.

The actor revealed that he shared his make-up room with the protagonist on the sets of ‘Taarak Mehta’. He said that Ghanshyam was very excited to return to the sets after several days.

“Me and Kaka were sharing a make-up and he came on the sets after a long time. He entered the room and said ‘Aav beta kem che’ I took his blessings and he was very happy to be back on the sets after so many days. He asked me about my family and said, ‘Saras, God bless you bear’,” Raj wrote on Instagram.

TV’s Tappu shared the post on social media lauding his co-star’s determination irrespective of age. He said, “His dedication and hard work at such a young age was appreciable. He will never forget those tales. Kaka, you will always be remembered.”

Fans have flooded the comment section with their messages expressing grief over the demise of Nayak.

Ghanshyam Nayak’s funeral

Dilip Joshi, Munmun Dutta and others attended the funeral of ‘Taarak Mehta’ actor Ghanshyam Nayak, which was held in Mumbai on Monday (October 4). The veteran actor, who had worked in several Gujarati and Hindi films, was diagnosed with cancer. Last year, the ‘Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’ actor underwent surgery to remove the lumps from his neck.
