Richa Chadha celebrated 10 years of ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’: VIDEO

New Delhi: As the popular film, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ completed 10 years on Wednesday, Richa Chadha shared a post on her social media while taking a stroll down the memory lane. The ‘Madam Mukhyamantri’ actor took to his Instagram handle to share a video celebrating 10 years of his film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’.

Sharing the video, Richa penned an emotional note, she wrote, “Celebrating 10 years since the birth of this modern classic! , and my life.”


He said, “I am very grateful to be a part of it. Lots of love to the team. The film gave a lot of talent to the film industry.

The video shows BTS moments from the film and its cast. The video shows glimpses of Jaideep Ahlawat, Manoj Bajpayee and the film’s director Anurag Kashyap.

At the beginning of the film, there is a clip of Richa’s interview, she is seen saying that the film is not only different but also has a message and people will whistle after watching this film.

Based on a real-life story directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film revolves around a gangster who clashes with a coal mining mafia. Featuring an ensemble cast with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Manoj Bajpayee, Huma Qureshi, Richa Chadda and Tigmanshu Dhulia, the first installment of ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ was released on June 22, 2012.

Kashyap’s revenge drama has been one of the blockbusters to come out of Indian cinema in the past decade.

On the work front, Richa has several projects in her kitty. The actor will next be seen in ‘Fukrey 3’. For the unversed, ‘Fukrey 3’ went on floors on March 3 in Mumbai. A significant portion of the film was also shot in the national capital. The comedy film franchise is directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment. The first part was released in 2013 and the sequel ‘Fukrey Returns’ came in 2017.
