Rhea Kapoor and Karan Boolani recently tied the knot in a ceremony which was attended by close friends and family members.
Lovebirds Rhea Kapoor and Karan Boolani tied the knot on August 14 and their wedding ceremony was as royal as can be. Rhea always wanted to run away and marry Karan in her living room, and that’s exactly what she did. If that wasn’t enough to raise the bar on couple goals, Karan also opted for a wedding dress that was customized with his and wife Rhea’s name and their wedding date. Oh, is that so. Kunal Rawal designed the bandhgala for Karan’s wedding and he made sure that the couple’s day was even more special.
Rhea and Karan, who dated for a long time, also skipped the customary red for the wedding and chose to go classy with white and cream. Rhea opted for a white chanderi saree which she wore with a dramatic cape and a pearl veil. She was looking very beautiful in the wedding look. Karan also chose a beige ensemble to go with his cream bandhgala.

Rhea’s wedding dress was designed by her friend and designer Anamika Khanna. She posed for ETimes and spilled the beans on her wedding look. Rhea is not a lehenga girl, she has a very strong personality and hence Anamika chose a chanderi saree with veil and cape to complete her look. Riya shared the information of her marriage on her Instagram profile a few days ago. “12 years later, I shouldn’t have felt nervous or overwhelmed because you’re my best friend and the best man I’ve ever been. But I cried and trembled and belched all the way because I had no idea how humbling the experience would be,” read an excerpt from her post.
Rhea and Karan’s love story is what everyone dreams of. The couple, who have been together since 2009, met on the sets of Rhea’s sister Sonam Kapoor’s film Ayesha, where Karan was working as an assistant director. Before marrying Rhea, Karan was also a big part of the Kapoor family. He was always seen in family functions and family portraits.
