Research Scholar ends life after tractor crushes boy in Karnataka Mysuru News – Times of India

Mysuru: A 26-year-old doctoral student allegedly rammed a five-year-old boy with his tractor at Gundlupet in Chamarajanagar district on Thursday, following which he allegedly ended his life. Police said that the student took this extreme step Mysore After taking the boy to the hospital in his village.
Police sources said Sunil, a research scholar in journalism, who was in his village due to the lockdown, went to his friend’s house in Mysore and took the poison within hours of the accident. Sunil and boy, Harsh, were related and both the families belong to Savakanahalli village in Gundlupet taluk, about 80 km from Mysore.

Circle Officer Begur police said the accident happened around 9.40 am when Sunil and his two friends were leveling a piece of land with three tractors so that they could play sports like cricket or football. It is said that Sunil’s tractor hit Harsh, who was watching the ground getting ready with some friends.
Harsh suffered serious head injuries and Sunil took the boy to a local hospital where he was declared brought dead. Sources said that Sunil went to Mysore by bus and took his own life in the afternoon, a police official said. The incident came to light around 3.45 pm.
Harsha’s family consists of parents Muddu Mahadeva and naagmani, and a nine-year-old brother. Sunil’s father is also a farmer.
