Republican US House panels seek testimony from Manhattan DA on Trump

The Republican chairs of three US House of Representatives committees on Monday sought communications, documents and testimony from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg related to an investigation into alleged secret payments by former President Donald Trump to a porn star.

House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and House Administration Committee Chairman Brian Steele made the request in a letter to Bragg. Trump said over the weekend that he expected to be arrested on Tuesday as New York prosecutors consider charges against him.
