Republic Day 2023: Pakistani Flag Found Hoisted in Bihar’s Purnea, Probe Underway

PatnaWhile the 74th Republic Day was being celebrated in India on Thursday, a Pakistani flag was found unfurled at a house in Bihar’s Purnia district. When the district administration came to know about this incident which took place in Sipahi Tola village of Madhubani top police station area, the officers reached the village. The flag was hosted at a house owned by Mohammad Mubarakuddin and is located adjacent to the local mosque.

During investigation, family member Rehana Parveen told the police that a man came into the house in the morning and went to the terrace. He further said that he did not know who hoisted the Pakistani flag at his house.

Madhubani station in-charge Pawan Kumar Choudhary said, “We have immediately removed the Pakistani flag and investigation is on. Such an act is considered sedition and the accused will be booked.”
