There were over 120 road accidents in the first six months of 2021, of which 50 were fatal.
“After the resumption of industrial and commercial activities and re-opening of schools, the easing of covid restrictions have led to increased traffic congestion on the roads and this has led to frequent reports of road accidents and traffic jams.
