REET 2022 Syllabus out: Students call it unclear, ask RBSE to release detailed subject-wise list

courses for Rajasthan Eligibility Test for Teachers (REET)The program to be held on 23rd and 24th July has come to an end. Candidates, however, are not very happy with this syllabus and complain that it lacks detail of chapters and is vague in nature.

Upen Yadav, president of Rajasthan Unemployed Unified Federation, has sent a memorandum to the state education minister BD Kalla, expressing the concern of the candidates.

In the memorandum, the candidates have demanded improvement in the curriculum and demanded Rajasthan Board of Secondary EducationWhich conducts REET to prepare detailed syllabus.

According to the candidates, the present syllabus only mentions the subjects and the marks allotted to each of them. He claimed that the syllabus needs to be expanded and broken down subject-wise.

Apart from the syllabus, the memorandum also wants the board to look into all pending recruitment of teachers of class I and II.

REET is a statewide exam which is conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education. This year, the board has fixed the date of the competitive exam as July 23 and July 24. The REET exam will be of two and a half hours duration and will have a total of 150 questions. Two marks are allotted to each question, making the maximum marks in the exam 300.

There will also be negative marking in the question paper where one third mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The examination will result in the recruitment of third grade teachers. As per the official figures, this year the board is conducting the exam for 46,500 posts.

Just last month, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had said that the certificates of those who qualify for this REET will be valid for life, This decision was taken in the Rajasthan cabinet meeting held at his residence. This means that once they clear the exam candidates can look for employment in the relevant field at any point of time.

Gehlot also said that the cabinet has decided to amend the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Rules 1996 to lay down the procedure and methodology for direct recruitment of primary and upper primary teacher posts.
