Red Hot Brides: From Katrina Kaif to Yami Gautam, stars who chose to be brides in red in 2021

Red color symbolizes many emotions. Love being the most favorite! And giving red a fashionable name this wedding season 2021 was red-hot Bollywood Bride’s. To end December weddings with lots of love and gratitude, Katrina Kaif tied the knot with the actor Vicky Kaushal 9 December in Rajasthan.

Dressed in a Sabyasachi red bridal lehenga, the actor paid tribute to Vicky’s Punjabi roots. Celebrity stylist Ami Patel, who has styled Katrina Kaif on several occasions, congratulated the actress on Instagram. Referring to Katrina’s love for the color red, Ami wrote: May you always be happy and bless the beautiful girl. You deserve all the love and happiness and always be there for you my dear. @katrinakaif @vickykaushal09 So glad to see you wearing your favorite color (sic).

November Bride: Patralekha

Keeping it classic and beautiful, actor Patralekhaa’s red tulle embroidered Sabyasachi buti saree was a story in the making. She paired it with an embroidered veil that had a Bengali poem engraved on it. It read: Aamar Poran Bhora Bhalobasha Aami Tomaye Shomorpon Korilam,” which roughly translates to: “I give you my soul full of love.” The actor married Rajkummar Rao in Chandigarh.

June Bride: Yami Gautam

Age-old traditions were celebrated with the color red at actor Yami Gautam’s wedding. As per reports, the actor decided to keep his wedding festivities to a minimum and decided to wear his mother’s red sari on his big day. This lovingly crafted sari featured a variety of motifs and was teamed with an embellished red veil that added flair to her entire look.

February Bride: Dia Mirza

Dia Mirza, who started the wedding season in Bollywood earlier this year, opted for a red Varanasi silk brocade saree. Designed by the label Raw Mango, this saree features a floral barfi net with boots. She paired a red sari with a silk blouse and organza odhani in zardozi with hand-embroidered chand buta motifs. The actor who believes in sustainable living took to Instagram World Handloom Day, and shared a picture of herself draped in her wedding saree and wrote: There is so much to love, respect and treasure about our #IndianHandlooms!!!
