The smartphone maker revealed that it will be launching its first premium flagship in China on January 4. The teaser shared by the company reveals that the GT2 Pro Master Edition will come with thinner bezels and a punch hole in the top-left corner. The video teaser also reveals that the smartphone will have a USB Type C port at the bottom along with a SIM card slot, microphone and speaker.
First Features of Reality GT 2 Pro
Realme also confirmed some of the features that will come to the Realme GT 2 Pro. Realme’s flagship smartphone will be the first smartphone in the world to be designed from a bio-based material. According to the company, bio-polymer material has been used in the back cover of the smartphone which acts as an eco-friendly alternative to fossil raw material that contributes to global warming. Additionally, Realme’s new box design has also reduced the overall plastic ratio – from 21.7% in the previous generation to 0.3% in the current model.
For imaging, the company claims that the Realme GT 2 Pro is the first smartphone to feature a 150-degree ultra-wide camera, which expands the phone’s field of view by 278% as compared to the main camera’s 84-degree field of view. The company has also developed the world’s first fisheye mode for smartphones on the device, which provides ultra-long depth of field effect.
The Realme GT 2 Pro is said to be equipped with HyperSmart Antenna Switching technology that is designed with 12 wrap-around antennas that cover all sides of the phone and support mainstream bands in almost all directions, all the same with signal strength. This allows the GT2 Pro to evaluate the signal strength of all antennas and automatically select the one with the best signal.
The smartphone maker has already confirmed that the flagship smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
