“We were probably 11-12 years old, playing some junior representative cricket and Glenn was incredible even at that age, he is an incredible talent. I really enjoyed his energy and positive attitude and we really connected from an early age so Nathan, my younger brother naturally became part of that group. Anthony, Aaron and I went to high school together and through my connections, they also met Glenn, and from 15-16 this cricket group has been friends for life,” Brendan Walsh recalled Maxwell’s childhood.

Maxwell has a deep thought behind flying into his comrades from Down Under, “All I can tell these guys is what it’s like to experience Cricket in India. I think it’s my 27th or 28th time in India and that’s all I can tell about life here but experiencing it personally it’s definitely going to be very special and for a long time Will be with him,” Maxwell said.

But then friends will always have some unknown secret to reveal. Hear this about Maxwell.

“Maxie loves his golf but this one shot scares the daylights out of him – the 16-metre chip shot, it’s not a full swing, it’s a half swing and needs to go with soft hands and I’ve never seen his knees wobble more,” Walsh said.
