Ravi Dahiya will be welcome with desi ghee churma: After winning silver in Olympics, mother said – next time my red will definitely bring gold

Indian silver medal winning wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya and his mother Urmila.

Preparations have started to welcome Ravi Dahiya in Nahari village of Sonipat district, who won silver medal for the country in Tokyo Olympics. Although not only the family, but every Indian was expecting a gold medal from Ravi. Two days ago, while talking to his younger brother Pankaj and cousin Raju (both are wrestlers), Ravi had said, ‘I will show such a game that the world will remember’. After this, qualifying and quarter-finals were completely one-sided on Wednesday morning. Even in the semi-finals, hopelessness turned into hope at the last minute. Everyone was eager to see his bets in the final on Thursday. Now when this Lal returns to the village with the world’s second number award, first of all, the chest of a mother will get infinite peace, who is away from her piece for the last one year. Everyone will welcome the player in her own way, while mother Urmila will feed him churma (a traditional Haryanvi dish made from desi ghee and crispy rotis) to his fullest.

Today, people in the village’s chaupal and the people of the village were glued to the television screen to watch the fight of fellow player Ravi Dahiya at Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi. Ravi Dahiya lost to the Russian player in the final match. But after winning the silver, the family members are happy along with the country. Now everyone is waiting for his return.

Ravi Dahiya’s mother Urmila said that she would give a warm welcome to her son on his return. She said, ‘My son’s favorite is churma, which I will feed him when he comes’. He said that his son also loves kheer and halwa. On the question of disappointment for not bringing gold, Ravi’s mother said that she would tell her son – keep going, next time definitely bring gold. He said that he also told the members of the house that there is nothing to be angry about, his son will bring gold next time.

Ravi Dahiya is away from home for a year
Urmila Dahiya told that her son is away from home for almost a year. He said that when Ravi was 10 years old, he left for Delhi in his preparations for wrestling from home and lived there. He further said that his son is quite straightforward and he had given permission to the son to do whatever comes to his mind. Speaking about Ravi Dahiya’s nature, his mother said that he used to talk to people very rarely.
