Rare dog breed: Bengaluru man buys Caucasian Shepherd at WHOPPING cost of Rs 20 cr

New Delhi: Bengaluru-based dog breeder Satish, who owns Cadbooms Kennel, has bought a rare breed of dog for a whopping price of Rs 20 crore. He has been in the dog breeding business for a long time and usually engages in breeding high quality and expensive dog breeds. According to local media reports, he had bought the rare Caucasian Shepherd from a Hyderabad breeder.

Satish is the president of the Indian Dog Breeders Association and is known for buying expensive dog breeds.

They named their new dog “Cadbom Hyder”, after their Cadbom kennel.

“Haider is huge in size and extremely friendly. Currently, he is staying at my residence which is air-conditioned,” he told the newspaper.

One of the fancy breed of dogs, the Caucasian Shepherd is native to the Caucasus region, which includes the countries of Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and more. They are hilly and hairless dogs and were kept by herders to protect livestock against predators mainly wolves.

After selecting some breeds from the Caucasus, Soviet breeders developed the breed in the 20th century. An adult Caucasian Shepherd typically weighs between 45 and 70 kg. This breed can live between 10 and 12 years.
