Ranveer Singh’s last 3 films – 83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Circus failed to make any mark at the box office.

Ranveer Singh’s films are not doing well at the box office corona virus Epidemic. First 83 in 2021 and then Jayeshbhai Jordaar (2022) collected less than Rs 16 crore at the box office. Even Cirkus ended its lifetime with Rs 35.65 crore and was not appreciated by the audience. Given his three back-to-back flops, it is now reported that Yash Raj Films (YRF) has decided not to do any film with Ranveer Singh as of now.

as told by Bollywood Hungry at YRF, Aditya Chopra and his core team have ‘invested heavily’ in the Spy universe and they can do no wrong, especially after the recent success of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan. He said, ‘There is a lot at stake as every film is going to have a huge budget and hence there cannot be any room for error. A source quoted by the entertainment portal claimed that each film requires utmost concentration from pre-production till the last mile release.

Hence, it has been decided not to sign films with Ranveer Singh as out of the six films he did with YRF, only one was not a flop. “In such a scenario, a film with Ranveer Singh is the last thing on his mind. Of course, they’ll also be making non-Spy Universe movies. But out of the 6 films that Ranveer has done with YRF, only one film has not been a flop. And that is Gunday (2014). This film was also a semi hit. Band Baaja Baaraat, Ladies vs Ricky Behl (2011) and Befikre (2016) were average grossers. Meanwhile, Kill Dil (2014) and Jayeshbhai flopped strongly.

The source added, “It is also important to note that while these 6 films made money due to the sale of OTT and satellite rights, the box office returns were in the red for Yash Raj Films.”

It is also to be noted that till now there is no official statement from the YRF team regarding the same.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh will soon be seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani which also stars Alia Bhatt in the lead. It will hit the theaters in July this year.
