Shubham Sharma scored 72 for MP and 101 not out to guide his side to victory.

Captain Priyank Panchal top-scored for Gujarat with 71 while Manan Hingrajiya scored 66.

In MP’s second innings, Shubham scored a blistering hundred off only 118 balls, including eight fours and three hits on the fence.

Mantri (65) and Rajat Patidar (57) also made useful contributions with the bat as MP declared their second innings at 280 for 6 in 71.3 overs, setting Gujarat a target of 382.

But Gujarat failed to chase down the target and off-spinner Saransh Jain (4/64) struck early to derail the visitors.

Medium pacer Gaurav Yadav (3/41) ably supported his bowling partners as MP bowled out Gujarat for 121 in 40.3 overs to get full points from the match.

Hosts Punjab beat Jammu and Kashmir by four wickets in Mohali to move up to the second spot in Group D.
