Actor Randeep Hooda, whose streaming show ‘Cat’ releases on Friday, has shared that he has apologized to the Guru Granth Sahib, the central holy religious text of Sikhism. The reason behind this is that the actor could not fulfill his promise of not cutting his hair before the release of his ambitious film ‘Battle of Saragarhi’.

Talking about the same, the actor said: “I put in a lot of effort (for the film), I quit smoking and when things didn’t turn out the way we expected, I felt hurt and empty. Even then I waited for three years for the film only because I had taken a vow in the Guru Granth Sahib at the memorial.”
However, the actor had to reluctantly move on as the film was not materialising, “Since I had to move on in life, I went to the gurudwara to pray, where I could only apologize as I had to do my duty and My karma is, being an actor, I had to continue with it.”
Sharing the reason behind apologizing to the holy book, he further said: “I apologized to Guru Granth Sahib that I could not live up to my promise of not cutting my hair till the conclusion of the film.
