Mumbai: Special moments have to be captured, right? Alia Bhatt did just that after winning the Best Actress (Female) award on Sunday night. Alia won a prestigious trophy for her role in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ at the Zee Cine Awards 2023. She did not forget to pose with the trophy.
Taking to Instagram, Alia posted a picture in which she is seen sitting on her bed and holding the award. This picture is quite special as it was clicked by her husband Ranbir Kapoor. Alia thanks Ranbir for ‘patiently’ clicking her picture at ‘2 am’.
She captioned the post, “Gangu Pyaar. Thank you Zee Cine Awards for this honour. No words will be enough to express how grateful I am to you Sir- Bhansali Productions. Special mention to my husband, who at 2 am patiently took my picture.” ,
Alia was looking very beautiful in this event. She wore a high slit green gown.
A few days ago, Alia also won big at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Awards. She won the Best Actress Award at the film festival. She also received the trophy for her husband Ranbir Kapoor. He was awarded the Best Actor Award for Brahmastra.
In a recent media interaction during the promotions of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, Ranbir said that he was happy that Alia won the award for Gangubai Kathiawadi, but admitted that her performance in Brahmastra was not offbeat.
He said, “I am very grateful for this honour. I don’t think I fully deserve it for Brahmastra. It was not a great acting performance.”
Ranbir and Alia are currently embracing the new parenthood phase. The couple became parents to daughter Raha in November 2022.
