Ranbir Kapoor spoke about the incident when the principal of his school slapped him for bunking a class.
Ranbir Kapoor opened up about the incident on The Kapil Sharma Show that his principal thrashed the actor for bunking classes.
Ranbir Kapoor is busy with the promotional commitments of his upcoming romantic comedy Luv Ranjan Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar opposite Shraddha Kapoor. For the same, Ranbir Kapoor graced the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show up and remember the time they got in trouble after bunking a class. For the same reason the actor was punished by the principal.
In a promo of the episode that is going viral, Ranbir Kapoor narrated the incident which left the audience emotional. He revealed, “I remember a boring class was going on when I tried to sneak out but I looked up and the principal was standing there. He grabbed my ears and slapped me towards the aisle and then turned me back to grab my hair and slapped me back in the classroom. Then he asked me what did I do wrong?”
Reacting to this, Kapil Sharma asked the Brahmastra actor, “Toh ye nahi bole ki thappar maarne ke pehle kyu nahi pucha (Why didn’t you ask him to ask the question before slapping)?”
Ranbir Kapoor also made it to Indian Idol. In a trailer of the episode, Ranbir is asked by a contestant whether his beard pricks his daughter when he hugs her. Ranbir admits it doesn’t seem like it, but he worries she won’t recognize him once he shaves off. The actor said, “I had to grow my beard because I had to shoot for (Animal). But since Raha was born, she has only seen me in this look. I am not afraid that the beard will sting her, I am afraid that after two months when the beard comes off, will she be able to recognize me? Till now she smiles after meeting her eyes, she does not look at me under the eyes. But after two months she will get used to (my look), but if she doesn’t recognize me then my heart will break.
Helmed by Luv Ranjan, Tu Jhooti Hai Makkar stars Shraddha Kapoor as the leading lady before him. The film is all set to release in theaters on 8th March. The film also stars Dimple Kapadia, Boney Kapoor and Anubhav Singh Bassi in key roles. Apart from Tu Jhootha Main Makkar, Ranbir has also wrapped up the shooting of another much-awaited film Animal. It stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Saurabh Shukla. The film will release on 11 August.
