Directed by Ayan Mukerji, this film also has stars Alia BhattMouni Roy, Nagarjuna and Amitabh Bachchan, Fans were excited to see Ranbir with his wife and co-star Alia Bhatt answering those juicy questions. However, in a sad state of affairs, we may never see it happen as host Karan revealed that Ranbir Kapoor has expressed his desire not to guest-star in the new season of the show. Karan also shared his reasons for making the request.
Talking to Film Saathi, Karan said, “Ranbir Kapoor has already told me that ‘I am not coming on your show’. He is like, ‘I will have to pay the price for a very long time. I have to do this with myself’. Shouldn’t.’.” Imitating Ranbir, the filmmaker said, “Mujhe please pe mat bulao (Please don’t invite me to your show).”
Ranbir Kapoor, who has appeared on the chat show many times, had talked about the show in a similar way earlier as well. In 2017, soon after doing Ae Dil Hai Mushkil with Karan Johar, Ranbir said on the AIB podcast, “I am (tired). I was forced into this season. I told him ‘I don’t want to come. .’ Me and Anushka (Sharma) were actually going to protest and bring the entire film industry together because it is not fair.”
Karan Johar is making a comeback with his much-loved talk show Koffee With Karan Season 7. The show has hosted popular faces of Bollywood including Shahrukh Khan. Deepika Padukone, Ranveer singhAlia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif And many others are known for bringing to the fore gossip and controversies in the entertainment industry. The show will now stream on Disney+Hotstar instead of airing on Star World.
