new Delhi: The shooting of the upcoming fantasy adventure film ‘Brahmastra’ starring Bollywood couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt has wrapped up.
The makers have wrapped up its final shooting schedule in Kashi, and is all set to hit the theaters on September 9.
Alia shared a video clip on Instagram. This clip looks like a song. He also shared a picture of director Ayan Mukerji and Ranbir after their visit to the temple.
For the caption Alia wrote: “We started shooting in 2018. And now finally ..Brahmastra (Part One) filming is over!! I’ve been wanting to say this for so long… IT’S A RAP See you in cinemas! 09.09.2022”
The film is clearly set in two time frames. The main story is set in the present day, where Shiva, a young man with superpowers travels 3000 years ago to learn about weapons like the Brahmastra to accomplish a mission.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, produced by Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures, Magnum Opus will hit the theaters on September 9 in five Indian languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
Ayan Mukerji also posted pictures from his last day on the sets on Instagram. He wrote, “And finally it’s a wrap! 5 years since we took our first shot on Brahmastra, and we have finally filmed our last! Absolutely unbelievable, challenging, journey of a lifetime!!! Some hand luck that we did in Varanasi’ Ended the shooting of ‘Part One: Shiva’ – a city imbued with the spirit of Lord Shiva, and that too at the holiest Kashi Vishwanath temple, which allows us to end in an atmosphere of purity, joy and blessings. Thrilling days ahead, last Lap ahead! 09.09.2022 – here we come! ”
It has a stellar cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
