New Delhi: A special court in Delhi on Thursday rejected the bail argument Of Rana Kapoor, former MD and CEO of Yes Bank, in a penny money laundering The matter pertains to alleged wrongful loss of Rs 466 crore to the bank, observing that the allegations against the accused were of “most serious and serious” nature.
special judge Sanjeev Agarwal said: “Keeping in view the overall facts and circumstances of the present case, since the allegations against the accused are most serious in nature, there is no ground for them. Bail is done at this level. Consequently, the bail application of accused Rana Kapoor is rejected.
The court, however, granted bail to 15 other accused in the case. Kapoor had sought bail on the ground that he was not arrested by the ED during the probe.
