Rana Daggubati’s company has joined hands with Tinkle Comics to launch a comic novel based on the Indian superhero Minnal Murali.

Besides being a talented artist, Rana Daggubati is also a successful entrepreneur, known for his various business ventures. In a recent one, the actor through his animation and VFX company, Spirit Media collaborated with Tinkle Comics to launch a graphic novel featuring the Indian superhero Minnal Murali. At the recent Mumbai Comic-Con event, Daggubati announced the graphic novel based on the Malayalam superhero. According to a Variety report, the novel will delve into the superhero’s origin, unveiling a new story that will further his adventures.

Notably, the novel was announced months after Spirit Media unveiled a number of films, TV shows, and comic book projects at the San Diego Comic-Con last year. Tinkle which is known for its homeground characters like Suppandi and Shikari Shambu will mark its first graphic novel format with Minnal Murali.

Details On Minnal Murali’s Graphic Novel

A popular superhero Malayalam film, Minnal Murali was released in 2021. Directed by Basil Joseph, the film features Tovino Thomas in the role of the eponymous superhero. The film’s story revolves around Jaison, a tailor who gains superhero powers after being struck by lightning.

Speaking at the event, Rana Daggubati expressed his excitement for the graphic novel and said that it marks a significant milestone toward showcasing the love for Indian superheroes. “The debut of Tinkle’s graphic novel ‘Minnal Murali’ at Mumbai Comic-Con marks a significant milestone for reaffirming the love for Indian superheroes and comics, furthermore, resonating with the unmet need of Indian comic lovers in the digital age. It is a moment of great pride and excitement to continue the universe of this much-loved contemporary Indian superhero and bring him to life from the screen to a comic,” he added.

On the other hand, Sophia Paul, the producer of the original film who also attended the event said, “Seeing our beloved characters and captivating storylines come to life on the vibrant pages is a testament to the enduring impact of our film, inspiring fans to embark on new adventures within this rich and dynamic universe.”

Director Basil Joseph re-shared the pictures from the recent Comic-Com event, showing the team also unveiling copies of the comic novel.

On the work front, Rana Daggubati will be next seen in TJ Gnanavelraja’s Vettaiyan alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Dushara Vijayan, and Ritika Singh.
