Ramayan’s Ravan Arvind Trivedi Dies Of Heart Attack; Arun Govil, Dipika Chikhalia & Others Pay

Veteran actor Arvind Trivedi, known as Ravana from Ramanand Sagar’s legendary mythological series ‘Ramayana’, is no more. The actor passed away on Tuesday night in Mumbai. He was 82 years old and his nephew Kaustubh Trivedi confirmed the unfortunate news to ABP News and said, “He was not well for quite some time, but today he suffered a heart attack and it led to multiple organ failure. He passed away peacefully. Gone. His house in Kandivali (Mumbai) is surrounded by his family.”

The veteran actor was cremated at the Dahanukar Wadi crematorium in Kandivali area early on Wednesday.

As soon as the news broke, Aravind’s co-stars from Ramayan took to social media to express their condolences and pay tribute.

Actress Dipika Chikhlia, who plays Sita in the show, also shared her condolences. He wrote on Instagram, “My heart goes out to his family… a very nice person #arvindtrivedi #ravan.”

Ram of Ramayana, actor Arun Govil also paid tribute to his late friend by remembering him.

Actor Sunil Lahri, who played the role of Lakshman in Ramayan, took to his social media platform to pay a tribute to the late actor. “Bahut dukhad Samachar hai ki Hamare Sabke Pyare Arvind bhai (Ravan of Ramayan) Ab Hamare bich Nahin Rahe Bhagwan Unki Atma ko Shanti De…I am speechless I lost father figure, my guide, well wisher & gentleman.”

Arvind Trivedi was a prolific Gujarati actor for over 40 years and after achieving success with Ramayan, he acted in Doordarshan shows such as Vikram and Betaal.

He was also a Member of Parliament from 1991 to 1996. Trivedi was also the working chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) from 2002 to 2003.
