Ram Pothineni has teamed up with Boyapati Srinu for a collective entertainer, the title of which is yet to be decided. The first look has been released, and the teaser promises pure drama with high-voltage action. The teaser gives a glimpse of the scale of the film in terms of action. This is the first collaboration between the filmmaker and the actor.
The teaser opens with a huge bang, and people can be seen flying due to its impact. Cut to the next shot, which features Ram’s character in a stern look. The dialogue goes, “You dared me to enter your kingdom; I did. You dared me to enter your gate, and I did. You believed I could never overpower you; I did. Now Which bloody heaven’s border must I cross?”
Reacting to the video, many fans commented that the comeback film should be stronger. Ram’s previous release Warrior didn’t do well at the box office. One user even wrote, “Waapsi to waakii strong honi ho bhai.” Another user wrote, “Perfect in the Boyapati meter. Violent and colourful. Must work.”
Produced by Srinivas Chitturi, the film will also be dubbed and released in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
Boyapati’s last release was Akhand with Nandamuri Balakrishna. The film was a huge box office success and grossed around Rs 100 crore at the box office. Akhanda made a big comeback with Boyapati after the debacle of her previous two releases, Jaya Janaki Nayak in 2017 and Vinay Vidya Ram in 2019.
Meanwhile, Ram Pothineni has again joined hands with Puri Jagannadh for the sequel of Ismart Shankar. It was announced by the filmmaker on Twitter and the sequel is titled Double iSmart. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on March 8, 2024. The details of the cast and crew are yet to be announced.
