Ram Charan attends NTR centenary celebrations and praises Taarak’s grandfather. He also called the RRR co-star his brother on Twitter, quashing the rumours.
Telugu star Ram Charan has put to rest rumors that claimed there was a rift between him and Jr NTR. There has been speculation for some time now that the stars of RRR have dropped out. However, Ram twice rubbished the rumors on Saturday. Firstly, the actor participated in the NTR centenary celebrations, showing his respect towards the senior NTR at the NTR centenary celebrations in Hyderabad. The event coincided with NTR’s birthday celebrations.
In a video that is now going viral, Ram pointed out that while the Telugu film industry has soared to new heights, it was Mr. NTR who first took the industry to the national level. Ram Charan recalled having breakfast with NTR at their Hyderabad home while returning from a class with Purandeshwari’s son Hitesh, and thanked Purandeshwari for being the catalyst for the memorable meeting.
“Though people are talking about popularizing South Indian cinema and Telugu cinema nowadays, the great NTR did it and showed it to the world. Celebrations to remember such legends will always inspire the younger generation. We all remember him always,” said Ram, as corroborated by Newstap.com.
Not only this, Ram also called Taarak as his brother on Twitter while wishing the actor on his 40th birthday. “Wishing my dear brother @tarak9999 a very happy birthday ❤️ have a wonderful year ahead. Lots of love,” he tweeted. “Thank you so much brother,” Taarak replied, dismissing all claims that he had a meltdown.

Meanwhile, Tarak was missing from the NTR centenary celebrations. The news of his absence was confirmed by his team a few hours before the event. “We regret to inform that Shri Junior NTR Garu will not be able to attend the NTR Shatjayanti celebration program to be held in Hyderabad on May 20, as his 40th birthday falls on the same day. The organizing committee was informed about it at the time of invitation,” the team said.
