Rajya Sabha elections 2022: Haryana MLAs reached for support

Rajya Sabha Election 2022: On the lines of Maharashtra and Rajasthan, the Haryana BJP has shifted its MLAs to a resort near Chandigarh, while the state Congress is likely to move back its MLAs, who were locked in Chhattisgarh on the day of polling.

BJP’s Haryana unit president OP Dhankhar told reporters, “All BJP MLAs from Haryana have been asked to reach Chandigarh by Wednesday evening so that a training session can be organized for them on the voting process of Rajya Sabha elections.”

Voting is to be held on June 10.

Talking to reporters on Wednesday, Minister JP Dalal said that he has called all the MLAs to explain the voting process to the new MLAs.

“We have come here (Oberoi Sukhvilas Spa Resort, New Chandigarh) to understand the voting process for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. All technical details regarding the election will be discussed as many MLAs are first time MLAs. They have never Will take part in Rajya Sabha elections. So it will be decided who will vote for BJP and independents.”

When asked about the Congress party shifting its MLAs to Chhattisgarh, the minister said the party’s concern shows that there are factions within them.

“Our victory is certain as we have 40 votes for our party. Our alliance partner has 10 votes. I don’t know if Congress had 31 MLAs, still they are worried. This shows that Congress There is a party which is divided into classes.” We are not scared. We are roaming freely. We have come here only to discuss who to vote for which candidate.”

He told that the MLAs will stay in the resort till Thursday.

Rajya Sabha Election 2022: Candidates from Haryana

Three candidates are in the fray for two Rajya Sabha seats from Haryana.

The BJP has fielded Krishna Panwar and extended support to independent candidate Kartikeya Sharma, who also has the support of BJP’s ally Jannayak Janata Party (JJP).

Ajay Maken is a Congress candidate for the Rajya Sabha elections from Haryana.

Both the BJP and the Congress have claimed that they have enough numbers to ensure the victory of their candidates.
