RAJKOT: A 45-year-old businessman, who had consumed acid at his house four days ago, died at a private hospital in the city on Thursday evening.
The family members of the deceased Sajid Dhindani told police that he had slipped into depression after his mother died of Covid last year as he could not arrange for an oxygen cylinder for her. Pradyumannagar police said Dhindani had also sold off his hotel on Sadar Bazar main road to tide over financial crisis.
Police officials also said that Dhindani’s financial condition worsened due to his addiction to gambling. TNN
