South Superstar Rajinikanth has retired from politics. He ended his political party ‘Rajini Makkal Mandram’ on Monday. Rajinikanth told party functionaries that he has no plan to return to politics in future. He has taken this decision after discussion with everyone in the party. Rajinikanth’s new organization will now work for public service in the name of ‘Rajini Fan Club Association’.

Decided not to enter politics in December
On 29 December, Rajinikanth had announced to keep himself away from electoral politics citing ill health. He had issued a letter written in Tamil saying that he would serve the people without contesting elections.

Rajni had written in his letter that despite his ill health, he did not want to show valor by announcing his entry into politics. He doesn’t want to upset his supporters either. He had also said, ‘Fans will be disappointed by this decision, but forgive me.’

Decision taken due to ill health
Rajinikanth was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad on December 25 after feeling tired and fluctuating in blood pressure. He was discharged after two days. Doctors had advised Rajni to stay away from bed rest, minimum physical activities and corona for a week. On December 3, Rajinikanth had said that he would form a new party and also contest the 2021 assembly elections.

The new party would be announced on December 31, but he later said that he would serve the people from outside without contesting elections. Recently he has returned from America after getting treatment. Doctors have advised him not to do stunt scenes.
