’83’ is currently receiving a lot of love from both cricket and Bollywood lovers. Ranveer singh-Starer on India’s winning journey in 1983 World Cup. megastar Rajinikanth The latest to join the list of people who have praised the recently released cricket epic ’83’, which chronicles India’s winning journey in the 1983 World Cup. Rajinikanth, who took to Twitter to share his opinion about the film, said, “#83TheMovie Wow what a movie… Fantastic!!! Many congratulations to the makers.”
The actor also tagged director Kabir Khan, cricket icon Kapil Dev, actor Ranveer Singh and Tamil actor Jeeva, who plays cricketer Srikkanth in the film. Apart from this, Rajinikanth also congratulated the entire cast and crew of the film. The film is receiving positive response from both fans and critics.
Kamal Haasan’s Rajkamal Films International and Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios have joined hands with Reliance Entertainment to present Tamil and Telugu versions of the film respectively. Prithviraj’s production firm and Kichha Sudeepa’s Shalini Arts have presented Malayalam and Kannada versions of the film.
Based on the winning team, the film tells the story of Dalits who are not believed by anyone. The team fought against all odds and won the title defeating the mighty West Indies team.
For the film, Ranveer Singh has replaced the legendary Indian captain and one of the great all-rounders, Kapil Dev.
Apart from this, the film also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jeeva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinkar Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Hardy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammi Virk, Adinath Kothare, Dhairya Karva, R Badri and Pankaj Tripathi. Deepika Padukone Will be seen in a cameo avatar playing the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi.
Both the actors have a power-packed 2022 with their big-ticket releases. While Deepika is gearing up for another release in January, ‘Gahreiyaan’, the teaser of which was highly appreciated, Ranveer will be back on the sets for his next film. Ranveer has films like ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ Rohit Shetty The directorial ‘Circus’ is slated to release in 2022.
