Superstar Rajinikanth recently interacted with fans during the shooting of his upcoming film Laal Salaam in Puducherry. The film is being directed by his daughter Aishwarya and she appears in a long cameo. Videos of fans queuing up outside the Puducherry set of Laal Salaam have gone viral on social media. In one of the clips, fans were seen cheering for their favorite celebrity and lost their minds as soon as his car entered the arena.

Rajinikanth waved to his supporters from the roof of his car. In another video, the 72-year-old actor can be seen stepping out of his vanity vehicle and greeting people who visit him on the sets.

Lyca Productions, the makers of Laal Salaam, had already revealed Rajinikanth’s look in the film. According to his tweet, his character is named ‘Moideen Bhai’ and is called “everyone’s favorite brother”.

A few days back the actor also shared a picture with former Indian captain Kapil Dev from the sets of Laal Salaam. He also confirmed the former cricketer’s appearance in the film. Laal Salaam also stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant. The soundtrack of the film is composed by AR Rahman.

Rajinikanth was most recently seen in the 2021 Diwali film Annaatthe. He will next be seen in Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailor. Slated to release on August 10, 2023, Jailor features Tamannaah and Shiv Rajkumar. Anirudh Ravichander, who has previously worked with Rajinikanth in Petta (2019), is the music director of Jailer. The actor recently wrapped up shooting for the film opposite Tamannaah Bhatia.

Laal Salaam is all set to hit the theaters later this year.
