In Nagaur district, rain water washed away the rail tracks between Gudha and Govindi Marwar Junction on Saturday, affecting the movement of trains for a few hours. Bhopal-Jodhpur special train was diverted due to repair work.
The eastern parts of Rajasthan recorded widespread rain, inundating roads at many places and washing away railway tracks at Gudha and Govindi Marwar stations in Jodhpur division.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall has been recorded at some places in Nagaur, Baran, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli, Sikar, Alwar, Jhunjhunu and Churu districts till Saturday morning.
Baran recorded maximum rainfall of 304 mm, followed by Niwai in Tonk, 192 mm.
Several roads were inundated in Jaipur, Dausa, Tonk, Sawaimadhopur, Karauli, Dholpur and Baran.
Chaksu, Naraina, Mouzamabad and Sambhar in Jaipur district received 168 mm, 167 mm, 162 mm and 142 mm of rain, respectively. Dudu, Fagi, Phulera and Jaipur airport (Sangner) and Amber recorded 135 mm, 123 mm, 122 mm, 77.3 mm and 67 mm of rain, respectively.

A North Western Railway spokesperson said the track was restored after a few hours.
The Meteorological Department has issued a ‘Red Alert’ warning of very heavy to very heavy rain (greater than 115.6 mm) at one or two places in Baran in Jhalwar district on Saturday.
An ‘Orange Alert’ has been issued for heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places in Jaipur, Ajmer, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Bhilwara, Bundi, Kota and Baran districts.
Heavy rain warning has been issued for Karauli, Udaipur, Pratapgarh, Nagaur and Pali districts.
