Kota: A 32-year-old man was stabbed to death by an acquaintance in a village here on Sunday.
The incident took place in the street of Purohitji at around 10.45 am. Tilak Chowk Where in Bundi Nagar police station area RizwanMahavat Mohalla resident of Mira Gate died while his friend Abid, resident of Bhrimpuri area, got injured, Circle Inspector (ThereSahdev Meena said.
On the complaint of Rizwan’s family, a case of murder has been filed against Bantik. Total (26), his friend Amen (30) and about three other unidentified persons.
The CI said Suman and Amen have been taken into custody.
Police said that Rizwan had slapped Suman two days ago after a dispute over money.
On Sunday morning, Suman along with her friends had gone to take revenge on Rizwan, who tried to escape.
But, Suman caught him on the road in the market and stabbed him several times with a knife.
Abid jumped to the rescue of the victim and was injured in the attack.
According to the police, Rizwan suffered severe injuries to his abdomen and chest and he fell unconscious.
Locals remained mute spectators at the Charbhuja temple, while a friend of the victim took her to the hospital on a scooty. Rizwan died soon after.
The injured youth, Abid, was discharged after first aid.
police force and RAC Troops have been deployed on the spot and in main areas of the city to avoid any untoward incident.
During this, the victim’s family demanded compensation of Rs 10 lakh and a government job.
They protested and refused to accept the body after the postmortem, though talks were on between the family and the administration to resolve the matter.
