New Delhi: According to an official announcement, the Rajasthan government on Sunday decided to request the Central Bureau of Investigation to probe the case of a mentally challenged girl who was found in a distressed state on a bridge in Alwar with her private parts damaged. were go.

As per the announcement, the decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, PTI reported.

According to the state administration, the recommendation for a CBI inquiry into the matter will be sent to the Center at the earliest.

Rajasthan Minister of State for Home Rajendra Singh Yadav, Chief Secretary Niranjan Arya, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Abhay Kumar, Director General of Police ML Lather and other senior personnel were present in the meeting.

Gehlot said that the state administration was ready to get the probe into the incident by a police officer from outside Alwar, crime branch, special operations group or CBI, if requested by the girl’s family.

On the night of January 11, a 14-year-old girl was found in a critical condition on a bridge near Tijara gate in Alwar after she sustained injuries in her private parts.

He was found bleeding and was taken to the hospital for an operation of two and a half hours.

According to officials, investigation indicated that she had gone to the city alone from her village.

Late on Friday, officials announced that they had obtained the girl’s medical report, which ruled out rape suspicions.

They said that they have not yet determined how the girl caused such serious damage to her private areas.
