Jaipur: A Rajasthan Rajasthan The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Friday arrested a police sub-inspector for accepting a bribe of Rs 1.45 lakh. Ajmer district, officials said.
An ACB official said that an alleged middleman who took bribe from the complainant on behalf of the accused SI has also been arrested.
SI is posted as Station House Officer (SHO) of Roopangarh.
The SHO had sought a bribe of Rs 5 lakh through an alleged middleman. Rohit SharmaDirector General of Rajasthan ACB BL Soni said that for not taking action from the complainant in a case registered against him.
After verification of the complaint, a trap was laid and the accused SHO was caught along with the middleman while taking a bribe of Rs 1.45 lakh. has been arrested under Prevention of Corruption ActSenior ACB official said.
