Raj Kundra’s UT 69 is all set to hit the big screen on November 3.

Raj Kundra recounted his time inside the Arthur Road Jail after he was arrested in pornography case.

Raj Kundra is currently busy promoting his acting debut movie titled UT – 69. The film is based on the time Raj spent in jail in 2022 after he was arrested in connection to a pornography case. In a recent interview, Raj narrated the ordeal that took place with him after his arrest. He recalled that he was stripped in jail.

Speaking with the entertainment portal PinkVilla, Raj Kundra shared, “It is humiliating because wo nanga hi kar dete hain apko (They turn you naked). Checking if you are carrying any narcotics in your back side, they will strip you down in front of everyone so you feel like you have lost all your dignity when that happens.”

He added, “You feel like you have gone through so much already ab yahan pe bhi nanga kar rahe hain. Media to nanga kar hi rahi thi mujhe, upar se ye bhi ho gaya so I felt very disheartened and hurt (You feel like you have gone through so much already and now, here also they are stripping you. Media was already stripping me and now this happened, so I felt very disheartened and hurt).”

The businessman-turned-actor also reacted to the controversies surrounding the film and receiving “hatred” from the media after a social media user called for a “boycott” of his movie. “The way this man has insulted the dignity of women, his film should be banned. Boycott this movie,” read the tweet. To this, Raj replied, “Plz do name even ONE woman who can back your claims mam. Easy to throw stones but plz back the statement with evidence. God bless you my dear. This hatred of people is only media created. #truthwillprevail #UT69.”

At the trailer launch of UT 69, Raj had exclusively told News18 about how his wife, Shilpa, reacted when he first expressed his desire of making a film on himself. “She was a few feet away from me when I decided to tell her that I am making a film. I didn’t want to go too close to her (laughs), he said.
