Raj Anadkat’s video comes a day after News18 Showsha exclusively reported that the former Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor is engaged to Munmun Dutta.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Raj Anadkat took to his Instagram handle on Thursday evening to share his post ever since he denied his engagement rumours with his former co-star Munmun Dutta. Raj dropped a video in which he was seen expressing his love for cricket. He held a cricket bat in his hand as he also visited a stadium to watch a match.
The video comes a day after News18 Showsha exclusively reported that Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actors Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat are engaged. Munmun, 36, and Raj, 27, exchanged rings earlier this month in the presence of their respective families, the source informed us. The insider further revealed that the two actors got engaged in a low-key ceremony outside Mumbai.
“The engagement took place just a few days back. The two apparently exchanged rings in Vadodara (Gujarat). Munmun and Raj’s families have accepted their relationship and they were also present at the ceremony,” an insider told us.
“They have been dating ever since Raj joined Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. It was very evident. Everyone on the sets knew about it. In fact, some people were certain that Munmun and Raj would get married eventually. Therefore, it is not shocking that they are engaged now,” the source added.
However, Raj dismissed the engagement report. He took to his Instagram stories and called the report false. “Hello everyone. Just to clear things up, the news you’ve been seeing on social media is false & baseless,” the young actor wrote.
Munmun also issued a statement which read, “This news is ridiculous, fake and ludicrous. Zero ounce of truth in it. And frankly, I don’t want to give my energy to this fake thing that keeps coming up again and again.”
While Munmun plays the role of Babita in the popular sitcom, Raj played Dilip Joshi’s son Tappu in the show. Raj announced his departure from TMKOC in December 2022.
