He said that Gati Shakti University has been seen as an important enabler for the expansion of the transport sector which is strategically important for India’s economic growth and development. The sector needs a steady supply of highly trained personnel and state-of-the-art technology. He said that the university would fill these gaps.

He stressed that the scope of the University would extend beyond the railways to cover the entire transportation sector to support its ambitious development and modernization.
