After the abrogation of Article 370, Rahul has visited Jammu and Kashmir for the first time. They had reached Srinagar on Monday.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing party workers in Srinagar on Tuesday, he said that the Congress demands full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir as well as free and fair elections here.

Rahul accused the government of preventing the opposition from raising important issues like farm bill, espionage and unemployment in Parliament. Also said that BJP has attacked not only Jammu and Kashmir, but the entire country. Rahul said that the only difference between Congress and other parties is that we do not believe in violence. Congress wants peace and love.

Earlier, Rahul had offered prayers at the Kheer Bhavani temple located in Tulmulla village of Ganderbal district. After the abrogation of Article 370, Rahul has visited Jammu and Kashmir for the first time. They will return to Delhi on Tuesday evening.
