Rahul Gandhi targets Modi government citing ‘fake news’, BJP retaliates

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has landed himself in a controversy after citing an alleged fake news article to gun down the Modi government. In a tweet shared on Wednesday afternoon, Rahul accused the government of weakening the country and said “India has never been so weak”.

“The use of foreign and defense policy as a domestic political tool by the Government of India (Govt of India) has weakened our nation. India has never been this weak,” he tweeted.

Rahul cited a report published in Business Standard which claimed that the Chinese Army had re-crossed the Line of Actual Control (LAC) at several places in eastern Ladakh and there was at least one clash between the two sides. The incident has happened.

However, the Indian Army maintained that there has been no attempt by the Indian or the Chinese side to recapture the areas in eastern Ladakh from where they left in February and that the two sides are engaged in talks to resolve the remaining issues in the region. Huh.

Meanwhile, BJP IT cell senior head Amit Malviya has targeted Rahul Gandhi. “This fake story, debunked by the Indian Army, was done by a retired lieutenant colonel Ajay Shukla, with suspected antecedents, Suman Dubey’s brother-in-law, long-time Gandhi family partner, accused in the National Herald scam and on board the RGF’s fake. To plug the story written for Rahul?” He tweeted.
