Rahul Gandhi met Lalu Yadav at Delhi’s AIIMS, inquired about his health

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday (July 8) met RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is admitted at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi after suffering multiple fractures due to a fall. According to PTI, an RJD leader said that Rahul Gandhi met the former Bihar chief minister and inquired about his health from doctors. AICC general secretary organization KC Venugopal was also present with Gandhi. On Wednesday, Lalu Prasad was brought to Delhi in an air ambulance along with a team of doctors and his eldest daughter and Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti, who also has MBBS.

The RJD chief’s wife Rabri Devi and younger son Tejashwi Yadav reached Delhi before him to oversee the arrangements in the national capital.

Lalu Prasad Yadav’s health update

Quoting sources, PTI said Lalu Prasad’s condition was gradually improving, The 74-year-old leader has been admitted to the Critical Care Unit (CCU) of the Cardio Neuro (CN) Center of AIIMS. The source said that the condition of the RJD chief is improving gradually and he is likely to be shifted to the ward in a few days.

Earlier this week, Tejashwi Yadav had said that his father’s condition had shown “improvement”, adding that the decision was taken to take him to Delhi as AIIMS doctors are well aware of his medical history.

Union Minister Rajnath Singh called Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday and inquired about Lalu Prasad’s health. The senior BJP leader had also wished the RJD supremo a speedy recovery and wished him a long life.
